Since the Waterlase® laser cuts hard and soft tissue without heat, vibration or pressure, Dr. Beavers may be able to perform your procedure with fewer shots and less anesthesia. Plus, using the Waterlase® laser reduces bleeding, post-operative pain and swelling, and the need for pain medication in many cases. What Procedures Can Be Performed With a Waterlase®? To contact our office click here New Science discovers cause of cavities New discoveries show that a bacterial infection may be the cause of tooth decay and cavity development. This new science may affect how your Dr. Beavers assesses your dental treatment plan. Promote healthy teeth - stop filling cavities CariFree® employs advanced infection testing and treatment technology to promote long term dental health, instead of simply treating symptoms by filling cavities. How is it possible? The advanced CariFree® system measures the magnitude of harmful bacteria on your teeth. If harmful decay-causing bacteria is identified, the CariFree® treatment plan may be prescribed by Dr. Beavers. Additional new findings Good oral hygiene may not stop cavities. Even if you brush, floss, and visit Dr. Beavers regularly, harmful levels of the decay-causing bacteria may still be present. A bacterial infection on your teeth can also be transmitted to others. Studies show that harmful decay-causing bacteria can be transmitted to other members of your household. If the bacterial infection remains untreated progressive steps of decay could include: creation of cavities , leading to crowns, root canals, or ultimately to tooth loss. For additional information on CariFree® click here Cancer Screening- During visual examinations, should a suspicious lesion or possible cancer be found, a simple brush biopsy may be performed, with a follow-up digital microscopic computerized pathological certified laboratory report, to provide you peace of mind.

We also use other wavelengths of lasers for enhancement for healing, muscle pain and densensitization. For more information, go to the Academy of Laser Dentistry website: www.laserdentistry.org. For additional information on Veneers click here For additional information on Root Canal click here For additional information on Smile Makeover click here Bonding- Bonding can improve the appearance of chipped, broken, cracked and stained teeth and spaces between teeth. Dr. Beavers applies a thin layer of tooth-colored composite resin to the teeth to restore chips and cracks, fill in gaps or cover stains, and provide patients with a more attractive and functional smile. First, a thin layer of plastic material is applied to the tooth's surface. Then Dr. Beavers sculpts the bonding material to the desired shape and bonds it to the tooth using a special light. The bonding material comes in many colors so it will be possible to match the shade of your teeth. Once the plastic has hardened, it is polished until it is entirely smooth. The procedure takes one to two hours and the bonding lasts about 7-11 years.

The Waterlase MD™ - is a revolutionary dental device that
uses a combination of YSGG laser energy and water, a
process called HydroPhotonics™, to perform many traditional
dental procedures with less anesthesia. When combined
with offering a less invasive, more precise form of treatment
that conserves healthy tooth structure, the Waterlase MD™ transforms the experience for our patients.
It reduces patient anxiety, minimizes pain and trauma, and
creates a more comfortable experience for patients.
Digital X-ray Imaging and Intraoral Video Camera- Both of these high tech tools help in making a very clear diagnosis. With a tooth magnified and shown on a monitor it makes for easy viewing for Dr. Beavers and patient. The digital X-ray imaging uses less than one half the radiation of regular film.
Orthodontic screening-

Gum Disease- There are many factors that can contribute to gum disease. Some of the risk factors are tobacco, stress, diet, hormonal changes, diabetes, occlusion, drugs and medications, and inadequate hygiene. We use bacteria testing to know how active the disease is and pinpoint areas that need care. Some of these methods include the use of ultrasonic cleaning, soft tissue laser treatments, coupled with nutritional counseling and Pharmaden nutraceutical supplementation. Home care techniques are tailored to fit your needs. To learn more about the Pharmaden success stories, go to the website: www.pharmaden.net.
Restorations- All of our fillings are mercury free. Our crowns have no nickel alloys. We use white composite resin fillings. For crowns we use only high noble gold crowns, porcelain fused to gold crowns or all ceramic crowns.
Crowns- Crowns are used to strengthen and improve the shape, size or color of teeth. They can support broken or weak teeth or those with large fillings; provide a smooth, strong, attractively contoured surface for stained, misshapen or otherwise abnormal teeth; and aid in the implantation of bridges and other implants.
Root Canal (Endodontics)- Root canals can prevent tooth loss when there is damage to the soft core of the tooth (the pulp). Despite its reputation as a painful ordeal, a root canal is actually not very uncomfortable. During the procedure, the damaged pulp is removed, the root canal is cleaned and sealed off, and a crown is bonded to the tooth to maintain strength.
Smile Makeover- Smile makeovers, or “smile lifts,” rejuvenate and beautify the entire smile by correcting “gummy” smiles, gaps between teeth, and stained, yellowed, chipped, worn, uneven or missing teeth. The procedure widens and brightens the smile, providing support to the lips and helping make the entire face appear younger and healthier. A cast of your mouth will be made so the dentist can determine which treatments are best (i.e. whitening, bonding, veneers/laminates, crowns, inlays and onlays). Patients can stop being self-conscious and enjoy the freedom and confidence of an attractive and natural smile.
